The biggest negative of metal landscape edging is that it is very dangerous - most commonly for dogs and kids. Over time, it tends to become rusty and extremely sharp. This is usually caused by lawnmowers scraping the top edge or nature that tends to push the metal up out of the ground exposing sharp edges.
